Buying a 60 inch TV is not cheap, but thanks to falling prices and with more models available than ever before, there are budget options that still provide high end performance. Here are our most recommended 60 inch TVs, ranging from $1100 up to $1250.
Some people think that a low price means low quality. Most of these televisions are so cheap because they are so minimalist, they don’t have 3D functionality or a built-in WiFi adapter. The picture quality is still just as high, even compared to much more expensive models.

At just $1100, the Panasonic VIERA TC-P60S30 is the best 60 inch TV currently available to buy, if you are on a budget. It has everything you would want from a modern flat screen, however due to the price it doesn’t come with additional fancy extras such as 3D capability or a built-in WiFi adapter.
The picture quality is as good as any 60 inch television, thanks in no small part to the fact it is full HD and has a plasma screen. In short, this is a fantastic television that is so cheap because it doesn’t come with lots of fancy extras.

LG 60PV450 – $1200
The LG 60PV450 is almost identical to the Panasonic VIERA TC-P60S30, only differing in price. It is a plasma television, with full HD but doesn’t come with 3D capability or built-in WiFi which is why it is so much cheaper compared to higher priced 60 inch TVs. This is perfect if you can cope without those bells and whistles.
It comes with plenty of connections (3 HDMI – 1 USB) so it isn’t lacking in term of ports and it runs silently which is good if you’re easily annoyed by electronic hum. This would be our most recommended budget 60 inch TV, if it wasn’t $100 more expensive than the Panasonic VIERA TC-P60S30 (see above).

LG 60PZ550 – $1250
The LG 60PZ550 is the most expensive of our three recommended budget 60 inch TVs, simply because it is the only television featured that comes with 3D functionality. So if you’re looking for a 3D ready, full HD 60 inch TV on a budget then we highly recommend this, you won’t find a better all round 60 inch TV at this price point with 3D.
It is a plasma screen so has incredibly high picture quality, it is also remarkably thin for a plasma screen (as thin as an LED screen). In comparison to the other two televisions, this boasts the exact same features but it is also has 3D capability for an extra $150, so really it is done to personal preference.
