Best 60 Inch TV For The Money

Buying a 60 inch TV is not cheap, but thanks to falling prices and with more models available than ever before, there are budget options that still provide high end performance. Here are our most recommended 60 inch TVs, ranging up to $1500.

Some people think that a low price means low quality. Most of these televisions are so cheap because they are so minimalist, they don’t have 3D functionality or a built-in WiFi adapter. The picture quality is still just as high, even compared to much more expensive models.

This is one of the highest rated 60 inch TVs of 2012 and it is crazy how much value for money it offers. It comes with all the latest features, such as 3D capability, built-in WiFi and Smart TV, and it is only $1250. Most TVs at this price point do not offer any of these features.

Whilst it offers a lot of features, it also has the quality to back it up too. The picture quality is as impressive as models twice the price, LG’s Smart TV has tonnes of services and apps, and the 3D quality is impressive too, though it doesn’t come with any 3D glasses.

LG’s 60PA6500 was one of the first 60 inch TVs from a major brand to be sold for less than $1000, which is only good for us buyers. Unlike the LG model above, this does not come with any major extra features such as 3D functionality or Smart TV, it is very minimalist.

The picture quality is as good as any 60 inch TV currently on the market, making this the perfect television for anyone who just wants to watch TV, without having to pay for extra features they’ll never use. The screen is also under 1 inch thick, yes you read that right, 1 inch thick!

At $1300 the Samsung PN60E550 is the most expensive of our value-for-money 60 inch TVs, it comes with 3D capability, it has built-in Wi-Fi and it has Samsung’s Smart TV, so whilst it is more expensive than the model above, it does come with sought after extras.

Whilst the picture quality is fantastic and Samsung’s Smart TV is incredibly useful, the 3D performance is below average and there is noticeable cross talk / ghosting. If you want a cheap Samsung then you could overlook this, but the LG 60PM6700 featured above is an all around better option.
