The picture quality is wonderful, deep blacks and lush, rich true-to-life colors. Lots of depth. A beautiful frame. Impressive 60 Inch TV for the price. Underrated, Big Thumbs Up.

Our Overall Rating: 4.0

Picture Quality

The LG Infinia 60PZ950 has fantastic picture quality, thanks to the 1080p full HD that offers the maximum sharpness and colour. This is fairly standard for high end HD televisions but even so the picture is still impressive, you won’t be able to get a 60 inch TV with better picture quality.

It is also 3D compatible meaning you can watch 3D content such as television and films, and even play 3D games from all the consoles. Unlike most TVs with 3D, the LG Infinia 60PZ950 is THX certified which means it has passed multiple rigorous tests to confirm the 3D picture is of the highest quality.

Sound Quality

As is common with large TVs, the sound quality of the LG Infinia 60PZ950 is fairly poor, to get sound quality that is as good as the picture quality, you would have to buy a surround sound system to go with the TV. This is the same with all large TVs though, as it would impossible to have high quality speakers without making the television a lot larger.

You can easily get a great home theatre system to accompany this TV for under a few hundred dollars, if you are going to buy the LG Infinia 60PZ950 then spending a little more to get a surround sound system makes perfect sense to get a true cinematic experience.

The LG Infinia 60PZ950 is an internet ready TV, so if you have wireless broadband or normal you’ll be able to connect your TV to the internet, through Wi-Fi or with an ethernet cable. Services like Netflix and YouTube are built in, making access to them extremely easy.

There is even a web browser so you can use the television as a computer, the remote has been designed to suit this internet functionality as it has a built in mini keyboard so you can type things in online. Whilst it isn’t as easy to use as a proper keyboard, it is a useful addition.

The set even comes with a pair of free 3D glasses, so you can in 3D straight away.
