Picture Quality
VIZIO’s 60 inch flat panel delivers accurate color levels, good blacks and very good performance in light room conditions. After disabling Smooth Motion to remove soap opera effect and spending a little time with calibration the images become razor sharp and nicely realized on the screen. The image quality is something you would probably expect from a model priced higher. It should be noted that LED panel that comes with this TV refreshes at 120Hz. The response time of 4 milliseconds is acceptable also for gaming, one should not forget to turn Game Mode on though.
Features
This 60 Inch TV comes with a remote that features a built-in QWERTY keyboard, a very nice free extra although Bluetooth keyboard would likely do a better job here. It features a lot of pre-installed internet Apps like Netflix, Hulu Plus, Vudu, Amazon Prime, YouTube, Yahoo! Widgets, Pandora or Facebook. Many of them can be launched either by pressing a shortcut key or through VIA button. Online videos are very easy to watch and with quick load times. This 60 inch TV is DLNA-compatible, so you can simply connect to other DLNA certified equipment, whether it’s your camera, smartphone or laptop and enjoy watching your personal pictures or videos on the big screen in your living room. It lacks 3D support though, but if you are just looking at replacing your older TV with a larger one that can hang on the wall Vizio E601i is probably the best deal for you.
